The Green Card Process

To draw the world’s ” brightest and the most excellent”, the Democratic Senators planned instant Green Cards for foreign people with higher degrees from American colleges and institutes and job offers. This is very good news for Indians as there is a large number of students going to the US every year.

In order to achieve this goal, a Green Card or a permanent residency will be right away available to any foreign student having an advanced degree from any U.S. college/institute of higher education. Vocational student are mostly in a field of technology, science, industrial, or mathematics. India has the most number of students in these fields.

The Green Card Process

A United States Permanent Resident Card also known as a Green card is an identification document or the card attesting to the permanent resident status in the United States of America. Green card is an identification document for a LPR (lawful permanent resident) of U.S. who doesn’t have American citizenship. It is basically the confirmation that the card holder is legally permitted to stay and work in United States. This card was initially when started was known as ‘Alien Registration Receipt Card’ but nowadays it is known as ‘Permanent Resident Card’. This card is always kept by permanent resident along with him all the times for the possession.

The United States government has been welcoming immigrants from all over the world. They appreciate the contributions of the immigrants to enrich their culture, and also encourage preservation the American legacy tradition of freedom and equal opportunity. Like I said freedom and equal opportunity is very important in the United States and the same is extended to all people who are or become a citizen to this country.

Primarily there are two ways by which you might become a citizen of the United States.

Birth – If you are born within the territorial boundary of the United States or, if you are born of an American parent, who already holds the American citizenship.
